DESCRIPTION: EPW - Swiss, mvt and dial marked to retailer Charles Wendell of Chicago, Illinois, 54mm, massive 18K gold original "S.A.W." HC, gold cuvette, glazed observation cover over mvt, white enamel SS dial, SW-shift-locking-LS, fully capped lever escapement with counterpoise, 20-21J, Wilmot's patent regulator, fausses-cĂ´tes pattern nickel damascene, s#8452 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 103.4 dwt (160.9 g). Given the plate layout of this movement and the presence of Wilmot's patent regulator, we believe this watch is likely a product of the Tiffany factory of Geneva.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered micro-fine scratches, some mild surface spots; nearly flawless dial with few micro-fine scratches; nearly mint hands; case shows light to medium wear, no dents or dings, reduced engine turning detail with some areas of full loss to front and rear shoulders, some scratches inside rear; tight bow thinned somewhat at top, crown shows medium wear; good glass crystals.
